The Dakota Access Pipeline has broad support from labor unions – both in North Dakota and across the country. Fact Checker recently released a video detailing the broad national support for the project. But the support for the project on the ground is also strong.
According to Cory Bryson, a business agent with Laborers Local 563, in an interview with Bismarck CBS affiliate KXMB-TV, “It kinda reaffirms with what we’ve known all along that this is one hundred percent project that Dakota Access is pursuing and building, and we’re just excited to be a part of it.”
Workers have faced a lengthy stoppage on top of threats from protestors for the past month.
